Trek to Joy

Finding Joy In This Screwed Up World

This is my first post and I guess the question on everyone’s mind is what am I going to write/blog about. Well it is in the domain trektojoy.com. I hope to journal my trek to finding joy in my life. We are all seeking it, but it alludes so many of us. Just when we think we are there something happens to drag us back down.

Our journey on this planet is short and complicated. Why is it so complicated? I look at the way agencies, companies and people operate and it almost seems like they like to put up roadblocks to make all of our lives more complicated and more complex. When it doesn’t have to be that way. Sometimes it is just a Yes or No answer. KISS – Keep It Simple Stupid.

Let’s not forget RESPONSIBILITY, NO ONE seems to want to take any, not even those in positions where you think they should. They are shirking their responsibility. Really, I have grown up my whole life taking responsibility for my actions and I am trying to teach this same thing to my kids but when I have governments, politicians, celebrities, officials, teachers, principals, doctors, parents and friends avoiding their responsibilities how in the world am I to teach my children this valuable tool. It sickens me that this is the world we live in now.

So how do we find joy in such a screwed up world well this is what I am hoping to figure out. If you want to take this journey with me stay tuned. I will be posting at least once a week and will write about what ever is on my mind at the time. Sometimes I will rant and vent and other times I will tell you happy stories, but I will always be REAL. I don’t like phony so you will not find that here, go to some gossip channel for that. This trek to joy will not always be a bed of roses, it will have its up and downs, so don’t expect this to be a happy fest.
Joy is within us; we just have to find it.

“What comes out of you when you are squeezed is what is inside of you.”  Dr. Wayne Dyer

“The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain.”  Kahlil Gibran

“There is no way to happiness. Happiness is the way.”  Dr. Wayne Dyer

Welcome to my blog. Hope you en-joy (No pun intended). 😉
